A Software Development Manager is needed for a payment gateway software development company. The solution is a bespoke software system that can be tailor made to client’s specific requirements. This is a fast-paced environment managing multiple innovative projects for their clients. 

The role is full time and offers a complete flexible working policy where you can choose to work fully remotely and come into the office on occasions or pick and choose which days suits you. Your working hours are 40 hours per week and you can choose which hours you work within this. Giving you the flexibility to work around children school drop offs or other commitments.

Some key responsibilities of the role are: 

  • You will work with their customers and software development teams to deliver high quality software and services to their customers.  
  • You will be supporting, coaching, and mentoring teams throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Establishing relationships with key customers to understand their requirements and creating solutions to meet their requirements
  • Building teams for customer delivery
  • Maintain and run several legacy payments systems on behalf of our customers.

The successful candidate will manage a team of developers across a broad technology range including Java, C++, C and AWS. They will need a blend of technical skills within these technologies as well as strong leadership skills and client facing capabilities. 

Aside from this, other important skills and experience to have would be:

  • Educated to degree level in relevant field, i.e. Computer Science 
  • Technical experience in: Java, NodeJS, React Native, AngularJS, C, C++ with a preference for serverless architectures in AWS
  • Proven leadership skills, managing software development teams – ideally project based
  • Experience working with external clients, managing strong working relationships 
  • Experience working in the payments industry would be highly beneficial
