The key deliverables that you will be working to within this role include the development and delivery phase of the new corporate website, developing the content offering to achieve the income diversification objectives and supporting projects to digitise the three professional exams and the events programme. You will also specifically responsible for the development and effective management of the organisation’s websites and other digital platforms and for the strategic development of marketing across all products, services, and activities.

Ensure the successful delivery of the core digital projects of the organisation’s COVID 19 Recovery Programme, including but not limited to delivering our new corporate website, developing our content offering to achieve our income diversification objectives and supporting projects to digitise our three professional exams and our events programme
Work closely with the Director of IMT to deliver the ‘enabling projects’ that will ensure the successful integration of the main Recovery Programme projects into the existing digital estate
Advocate a user first approach to the implementation of all projects, ensuring a consistent, cohesive, high value experience for all who engage with the organisation, by further developing our existing audience insights and deepening our access to and use of data to inform decisions
Develop a digital strategic framework and roadmap to facilitate the delivery of the five-year strategy, beyond the delivery of the Recovery Programme
Continually review progress of delivery, and review suitability of solutions in line with technological developments and the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives and ambitions
In collaboration with the Project Management Office, ensure the organisation takes a consistent approach to the delivery of all digital projects, through the development of process, procedures and templates and the digital upskilling of staff
Advocate the importance of the organisation’s digital transformation activity, identifying and supporting key business owners who will participate and benefit from digital transformation initiatives
Review, develop and progress the marketing strategy across both digital and non-digital platforms, in collaboration with the Business Development and Commercial functions, identifying opportunities for growth.
Take overall responsibility for the strategic development and delivery of marketing across the whole product portfolio, including digital marketing, offline marketing (where relevant), branding and visual identity.
Take overall responsibility for the operational development and effective management of the corporate website including editorial content and style, design and production.
Take overall responsibility for supporting and developing other websites and digital platforms. Including managing contracts with external suppliers relating to the digital activities.
Ensure close collaboration with Media and PR colleagues to ensure our marketing and communications activity is strategically planned and integrated in its execution
Manage and develop all staff in the Digital Team, including line management of the Senior Website Manager and Membership Engagement and Marketing Manager.
Provide strict scrutiny and management of the digital and marketing budgets. Set and manage future annual income and expenditure budgets and create and present strong business cases for ongoing investment in digital, as required
Support, lead and participate in project groups as appropriate.
Be a member of the Leadership Team of Executive Directors and Directors.
Other duties compatible with employment may be given by the Executive Director, External Affairs.
Skills and Abilities:
Exemplary and demonstrable project management skills including
PRINCE 2 and agile project methodology
ability to work in a blended way
Excellent digital skills and knowledge base, encompassing for example eCommerce, SaaS, servers, SSO, CRM, social media platforms, etc.
Strong networker with excellent negotiation and persuasion skills
