Billy Dainton

Specialising in Local Government DDaT recruitment and Corporate Transformation initiatives, supporting councils across the UK with both interim and permanent hires. Since graduating from the University of Bath in 2023, I have built my experience quickly within the sector, consistently delivering results for local government clients.

I have supported a range of transformation programmes, from early-stage conversations through to building out full delivery teams. This includes projects such as Windows 11 deployments, housing data transformation, service design, and wider IT and infrastructure programmes. I work closely with stakeholders across local authorities to understand their priorities and ensure the right people are in place to deliver meaningful outcomes. Priding myself on being reliable, straightforward, and adding genuine value rather than taking a transactional approach.

Over a short period, I have developed a strong network across the Local Government space, partnering with London Boroughs, County Councils, and Unitary Authorities. I focus on building long-term relationships, staying close to market trends, and being someone clients and candidates can rely on when it matters.

About me: I come from a strong sporting background, having played rugby, football and cricket at representative levels alongside, boxing. Outside of work, I spend a lot of time in the gym and enjoy staying active, as well as socialising with friends. I have a big interest in cooking, doing so for family and friends experimenting with new ideas alongside, expressing my creativity through a keen interest in music.
