Keystream at Hestia’s Big Day Out

When our charity of the year, Hestia, invited us to their ‘Big Day Out’, it was an offer we couldn’t refuse.

Hestia’s Big Day Out

The day is a celebration hosted by Hestia’s volunteering team and corporate partners. Keystream was invited and five team members left the office for a day of fun and games.  On the day, around 150 service users came together to participate in summer fayre-style activities. Attendees ranged in age from children – babies through to teenagers – to adults in their twenties and older. Activities included a Tin Can Alley, a Nerf Gun shoot-out, face painting, nail art, a bouncy castle, and our own stall – the sweet stall!

The variety of food vans on site provided free lunches to all service users, and everyone had a great time. It was a fun-filled, insightful and inspiring experience for our whole team.

It was really emotional at the end. All the women were dancing, and you could see how happy the day had made them.

About Hestia

Hestia supports adults and children in times of crisis. Services are delivered across London and surrounding regions, with nationally-run campaigns and advocacy to raise awareness for issues that affect the people they work with.

In 2021, Hestia worked with over 14,000 men, women, and children. This included victims of modern slavery, women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, young care leavers, and older people.  From giving someone a home to helping them to get the right mental health support, Hestia supports people in their moment of crisis and enables them to build a life beyond.

Hestia is supported by over 900 volunteers across London who provide specialist skills such as art therapy, yoga, IT, gardening, and cooking, as well as befriending and fundraising.
